Monday, March 31Students continued working on Aztec and Inca notes if they haven't completed. All notes were to be completed by today. Tuesday, April 1Iowa Assessments test in the morning, Met with 5-8th period classes in the afternoon. Reviewed Aztec vs Inca essay assessment requirements with students. Students need to be done with their Aztec AND Inca notes before they can begin the essay. Students may work any time after that to work on the essay - it does not have to be completed in class. All students have been emailed the directions and they should be located in their Google docs. Hard copies of the directions are also available. HERE IS A LINK TO THE DIRECTIONS AS WELL. Students who completed their notes on time (by Monday, March 31) have been given the choice to do a presentation essay instead. The presentation has identical writing requirements, but has the added benefit of adding images and an overall design for extra credit points. Essay due end of class Friday. DEADLINE EXTENDED to beginning of class Monday, 4/7 There will be no more time given in class after Friday to complete the assessment. I will take your notes and essay late for full credit, BUT this it is not a good idea to keep putting off your work. Also, essays not turned in by class time on Friday, will not receive the 3 timeliness points per my usual policy. I am available after school nearly every day; you are welcome to arrange a day with me. We begin a new unit on Monday, April 7.
